Take a look at the critically acclaimed Big Bang gun book series without worrying if you might be wasting your money!

With this sampler, we give you the basic subrules, detailing the justifications for all the small rules modifications made inside the Big Bang series. In addition, a variety of weapons to give you an idea about the level of information you get with our books. The regular series also includes a greatly enhanced rules section, detailing special rules for different types of ammunition, as well as data for specific cartridge types and loads, particularly those used by militaries.

This booklet presents a sample of weapons from each of the first three Big Bang gun books in publication. Inside you can see the US Army's gun of the future, the XM-29 Selective Assault Battle Rifle, formerly known as the OICW. Or take an in-depth look of its major competitor in the world arms market, the F2000 assault rifle system from FN Herstal. While the Chinese manufactured the first knife in a gun with Norinco's Type 86, an American company perfected the concept with the "revolver-in-a-knife" gun knives from GRAD co. You can even look at the 45 year legacy of the MAG-58 general purpose machine gun and its M240 clones, the most reliable medium machine guns in the world.

Junk. A random selection of weapons without any regard for period, presenting opinions as fact, and using photos instead of line drawings which might at least have been useful as player handouts.<br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: Nothing.&l [...]

The content was decent, but the layout left a bit to be desired. It's worth it as a free download. Perhaps the versions that you have to pay for have a better layout? [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
