DRAGONLOCK Ultimate: Dungeon Torch Wall (LED)

ADD TO WISHLIST >

DRAGONLOCK™ Ultimate an interlocking terrain system that allows you to create fully modular, multi-level 28mm scale dungeon terrain for your RPG or wargame on your home 3D printer. Individual pieces links to neighboring pieces with our exclusive Dragonbite™ clips. Each set is delivered as a downloadable .stl file, and once you have the set, you can print as many pieces as you like and never run out or need to purchase more.

A standard wall piece costs around 40 cents in plastic to print yourself, far cheaper than factory made terrain! All of the models shown were printed at 100 micron resolution, a common standard on most economical 3D printers. A nice starter printer that can print these files starts around $220 (see our F.A.Q. for more info on printers, printing costs, filaments, and more, over on the FDG website forums.)

This set includes

• Dungeon wall kit that can have painted torch flames, or be made to work with LED lights.

• Dragonbite™ Clips

• Instruction Guide with links for LED light kits (LED parts cost approx. $1.60 per wall unit)

Could you fit UV LED's to these as I want to paint some parts of the terrain with invisible UV reactive paint. What I'm aiming for is the ability for someone in-game to cast a reveal spell and the turn the UV on to show the symbols.

comfortable with soldering, a few pieces of wire, a small switch, (toggle is my fav but slide is perfect too) small button batteries and whatever UV you want to use, works excellent!
think the only issue you might have with UV led is power output, your "spell" would have to be directly above the torch i think. let me know how it works if you do it,l sounds like a cool idea

Does this need to be printed in clear filament in order for the light to be seen through the plastic or is the "flame" a separate piece?

you can pick up translucent red or yellow pla to print the torch part, print the rest in any color, paint around the torches leaving the flame alone
i've done red, yellow and just for fun a blue one for my water temple, the twinkle lights on amazon work great, about 12 bucks for 8 of em.
really kool idea and brings that little extra something to my game dungeons. LOVE dragonlock compared to the other tile setrs iv'e tried.

I'm real excited about these torch walls, but I feel that having them in a cluster of 3 seems a bit cluttered. Have you considered a 2x2 wall tile that has only one torch on it? Or doing a half height wall variant? Also, for those of us who are comfortable soldering, could you add a variant to support more common LED sizes (3mm and 5mm diameters)? I have some flickering fire 5mm LEDs that I would love to use with this. There are also a number of types of pressure based connectors cheaply available in bulk that could eliminate the need for soldering more standard LEDs.

I would happily pay more for a set of these that had some more options. I'm very grateful for all your great looking terrain.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
