Agaricath: Drow Slave Mine

Deep beneath the earth, hundreds of slaves work in the diabolical mines of the Drow, working endlessly, knowing they will never see sunlight again!

A printable rpg battlemap compatible with any RPG/Dungeon-Crawl or skirmish game. Use as a standalone gameboard, or combine with any same-scale tileset. The map is 50x50, equivalent to 25 of our standard 10x10 tiles.

Contents: A huge subterranean mine complex. The entrance consists of loading areas, mine carts and guard rooms. One passage leads to the supervisors office and quarters, as well as the barracks for the Drow guards. The other passage leads to the large cavern where slaves are kept in rough cells. The main part of the mine has tunnels, wooden platforms for mining the cavern face, and tracks for removing the ore. Beyond the mines are the caverns of the Underdark, filled with strange fungi and dangerous creatures.

Download includes:
250dpi A4 pdf, with gridded map spread across 50 pages for easy printing.
250dpi A4 pdf, with gridless map spread across 50 pages for easy printing.
250dpi full jpeg versions for VTT or poster printing (gridded and gridless)
72dpi VTT Ready images (less than 10mb, 140px per square, 72dpi)
Note: Whilst the download looks large, it consists of several separate files - just download the versions you need.

A note on VTT use - we have deliberately kept the quality of the file high, and you may need to resize the jpeg for use in your VTT software. Keeping the file size and resolution high gives you the flexibility to use the map how you want - crop out a particular section or use the entire map, the choice is yours.

Love the look of this map and all the options for purchase and printing. I'll be purchasing this shortly, however I've noticed other comments (in March '17) about more locations?

Have you guys published more locations? If so, where can I find those maps and what are they titled?

Hi Andrew. We have Agaricath Drow City which is also in the Underdark. We haven't yet had to the chance to explore more Underdark locations, but between the two Agaricath maps there's a lot of playable area to explore

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up. I'm purchasing both the slave mine and the city today. Looking forward to any more Drow themed items you create, especially a modular tile set (wink wink nudge nudge).

I really love the underdark style with the glowing fungi, but I don't want to buy and print a full giant map.
An underdark geomorph or modular tiles set would be great.
I would also use an option to buy only parts of the giants maps if that would be possible.

You can just print certain paged from the pdf to print certain areas, or crop the full jpeg to the area you want.

We also do have more locations planned for the Underdark

Nice to see you adding to Agaricath! But once again, a request for a geomorph set to match, so that we can build out or build up drow areas ourselves...

Yes, we definitely intend more sets based around the Drow and Underdark

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
